Browns Linebacker Has A Message For Travis Kelce

The Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs have developed a bit of a rivalry over the past year. That rivalry will be put to the test this Sunday.

The Browns will travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs on Sunday. It’s a rematch of last season’s divisional round playoff game in which the Chiefs escaped with a 22-17 victory over a gritty Cleveland team. Some believe the Browns have gotten better since then and will be capable of defeating the Chiefs in the rematch. We’ll find out on Sunday.

Cleveland linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who didn’t play in last season’s playoff game against the Chiefs because he was still in college, is ready for the challenge. He’s specifically ready to line up against superstar tight end Travis Kelce.

Owusu-Koramoah sent Kelce a message on Tuesday. It’s safe to say he’s ready for the challenge.

“It’s not foreign to me to have some type of matchup that’s as such,” Owusu-Koramoah said, via Jeff Schudel of the Willoughby News-Herald. “I watched a lot of film, had to watch a lot of film to be able to be ready for a guy that’s as talented as him. So we’ll be ready. I’ll be ready and as a team we’re looking forward to game planning and correcting stuff. I’m expecting to have a big role — nickel, some base, stuff like that.”

Travis Kelce is one of the toughest defensive match-ups in the sport.

He’s an elite pass-catcher, can run after the catch and is a very tough tackle. Owusu-Koramoah will have his hands full.

The Browns and Chiefs clash in Kansas City this Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
