The gymnasium previously generally known as Mamba Sports activities Academy is suing the corporate that owned the doomed helicopter within the Kobe Bryant crash … claiming the copter co. needs to be pressured to pay over $100K in prices associated to the demise of one of many passengers on board.
It is all spelled out in new courtroom paperwork, obtained by TMZ Sports activities, by which an insurance coverage firm and the gymnasium now generally known as Sports activities Academy are suing Island Specific.

Within the docs, the Academy and the insurance coverage co. declare that as a result of Christina Mauser — a women basketball coach — was employed by the gymnasium on the time of her demise within the crash … they paid “demise advantages and burial bills” to her household that exceeded $127,000.
Within the docs, the plaintiffs argue that Island Specific needs to be on the hook for that invoice … claiming the crash and Mauser’s subsequent demise had been the results of the helicopter firm’s negligence.
The plaintiffs are asking for a reimbursement of the quantities already paid plus any extra staff’ comp funds that will come due sooner or later.
As we beforehand reported, Mauser and eight others — together with Kobe and Gigi Bryant — died within the helicopter crash in January 2020.
After a prolonged investigation, NTSB officers concluded that the crash seemingly occurred attributable to a multitude of causes, together with, “Island Specific Helicopter Inc.’s insufficient assessment and oversight of its security administration processes.”
Mauser was 38 years previous.
