Stephen Watson is leaving his sports activities reporter-anchor job at Milwaukee’s WISN-TV (Channel 12)

WISN-TV (Channel 12) sports activities reporter-anchor Stephen Watson stated on social media Wednesday that it was his final day on the station.

He did not elaborate on his plans. Watson has been at Milwaukee’s ABC affiliate since November 2014.

“At present marks my closing day working at @WISN12News,” Watson tweeted Wednesday. “It’s been an unimaginable journey protecting Wisconsin’s glory years in sports activities alongside nice teammates and mates. I’ll cherish these alternatives and reminiscences for all times.”

Watson, described in his bio on Channel 12’s web site as an avid golfer, additionally co-hosts “On the Tee,” a weekly golf present, on WKTI-FM (94.5).

Jan Wade, president and common supervisor of Channel 12, confirmed Watson’s departure by way of e-mail. Jared Fialko, who has been reporting on the station for just a few weeks, is taking Watson’s spot on the sports activities roster, she stated.

Stephanie Sutton is Channel 12’s weekend sports activities anchor, and Dario Melendez is sports activities director.

Melendez was named sports activities director in Could, after the retirement of Dan Needles, who had been on the station for 32 years and had been sports activities director since 1998.
